Name: Jafar Sadegh Tabrizi

Degree: MD, Ph.D in Health Services Management

Dr Jafar Sadegh Tabrizi is a professor of health services management at the Tabriz Medical Sciences University of Iran. He received his MD from Tabriz Medical Sciences University and his PhD from Queensland University of Australia. After his 7 years academic positions (head of department, educational deputy and head of school) in the school of health management and medical informatics, Dr Tabrizi accepted an administrative position at the Tabriz Medical Sciences University as a vice chancellor for health for 3 years in addition to teaching. Then he accepted a national position as an acting deputy minister for public health and director general of primary health care for Three years. Dr Tabrizi has done several projects in the areas of PHC, quality in health care and chronic diseases and has supervised several master and PhD students. He published 12 books and more than 100 papers in the field of public health. He also has done several projects in collaboration with WHO-EMR. He is currently an academic staff in Tabriz Medical Sciences University, Director of Tabriz health services management research center and Director-in-Charge of Depiction of Health Journal.
